Who am I?

Isn't that the question we are all asking ourselves; Who am I and what is my purpose? I suppose I should start with answering that question to the best of my limited ability. I am certain that I am made in the image of God and that without that certainty I would have zero purpose. However, in light of that truth, I am able to find immense motivation in the mundane everyday moments of being a wife, mother, and worshiper of God.  

I have been married to Zach Dasher for 23yrs and we have five children ranging from 20-2. Yes, that's right, our youngest is two years old.. God laid adoption on my heart when I was a child and the Lord saw fit to fill that desire in His perfect timing when I reached the ripe age of 40. We are on the ride of our lives and I don't want to miss one moment.  

What you should know about me before going any further is that I have a lot of flaws. So many that the Lord led me to write a book highlighting each and every one (that is, the ones I have allowed myself to see to date.) That is precisely why this page exists. My prayer is to be an encouragement to anyone who struggles with not having this life figured out. As a recovering perfectionist, I lived years of my life pretending to have it all together and that way of living cut me off from experiencing the healing power that comes through confession. You cannot be healed of something that you refuse to admit is there. 

True intimacy is being affirmed, loved, and accepted right where we are, even if that place is a mess. I suppose you could say that my purpose is to simply share the redeeming power of God’s grace through my own process of restoration. And by process, I mean that I will always be a work in progress, moment by moment, and day by day.
